St. Clair Yacht Club

SCYC currently has few committees operating beyond the support rendered by the Officers and Directors. With the exception of membership and activities, each member listed below is working without enough assistance or support from fellow members.  Members can help.  The best way to insure that SCYC provides the highest level of service is to become active on a committee. To do otherwise leaves the Club vulnerable and at risk. Members' have left a few volunteer board members to work in near isolation which  places an unfair strain on the few good folks who do give their best to help.

Members can only insure that the Club is led by the best talent possible if each member does his or her part by getting involved in one of the many activities members expect to see staged each year.  As the St. Clair Yacht Club is a volunteer organization, club members are responsible for every aspect of Club operation. Nominations, membership, communication , marketing, planning and staging social and boating events are areas where more help is needed. 

Members are needed to provide the planning, implementation and oversight of each year's affairs beginning with the November election. Unfortunately, there are so few members offering to volunteer, a complete slate could not be formed leaving a handful of very dedicated members to perform the work of others who aren't pulling their weight.  Please contact the Vice Commodore or appropriate committee chair through their respective email address - anytime. The Commodore appoints each committee chairperson otherwise not provided in the Club Bylaws as soon as possible after the November Annual Meeting. The term of all committees ends with each annual election night.
